Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Perth-on-Tay Home Page

Who are we:

We are a service organization made up of men and women who wish to become personally involved in making our community a better place in which to live. The spirit of fellowship is an important element and comes from mutual effort devoted to the common goal.

We are one of 8500 clubs in 82 countries dedicated to the advancement of individual, community and national welfare; and to strengthening of international goodwill.

Heritage Perth Court House

Our Objectives are comprehensive and are a copy of those adopted by Kiwanis International.

To give primacy to the human and spirtual, rather than to the material values of life.

To encourage the daily living of the golden rule in all human relationships.

To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business and professional standards.

To develope by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.

To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.

To co-operate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which makes possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.

What we do:

Each year we survey the community to determine where our resources will be most effective in enhancing community life. Our priority is young children, but the needs of others are recognized and at times our interest extends beyond the community to the world at large.

For example, we participated in a Kiwanis world wide project, in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Program, to eliminate Iodine Deficiency Disorder in third world countries by the year 2000.

What we can do for You:

Provide the opportunity for fellowship and lasting friendships.

Involve you in the life of the community.

Open the door for an informal exchange of ideas.

Broaden your general knowledge by providing speakers on interesting subjects.

Foster a sense of fulfillment by contributing to the needs of others.

What you can do for us:

Participate regularly in meetings and club functions. This gives the members a chance to know you better and to build lasting friendships with you.

Strengthen our club by lending your talents and special skills where they are needed.

Share your ideas with others.

Recruit new members; invite your friends to join.

Help to keep Kiwanis a number one service club in the world today.
