The Snaith
Memorial
This plaque may
be seen at The Priory church of St. Lawrence in Snaith, Yorkshire ,
England. It was placed there by the members of The 150 Squadron
Association. Snaith was picked because that was the aerodrome where
the squadron was based for the longest period of time during WW II.
There is another memorial at Hemswell, England placed there by the
men who flew Lancasters out of that base from November 1944 to the
end of W.W.II in May 1945. The squadron crest may also be seen in the
floor of St. Clement Danes Church in London - The R.A.F. Church
- destroyed by Luftwaffe bombing during the Blitz of 1940 and rebuilt
and rededicated as a memorial to all who served
in the
Royal Air
Force.

the sun; and in the morning we shall remember
them."
